The school at a glance
Where talent becomes responsibility
The ATB Theater School is a place of learning, discipline and transmission. It does more than train actors: it prepares artists who can understand their society, carry a meaningful message and contribute to the transformation of communities.
Through a demanding, tuition-free programme deeply rooted in African realities, students develop their voices, bodies, imagination, team spirit and ability to use theatre as a tool for social impact.
Two years to learn, practise and create
The programme progressively guides students from the fundamentals of performance to creation, directing and the practice of Theatre for Development.
Discover the fundamentals
The first year establishes the foundations: body, voice, listening, diction, improvisation and stage presence.
Create and make an impact
The second year explores creation, stage directing, scenography and the application of theatre to social issues in greater depth.
